About the Team: 

The South China Morning Post is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Account Manager to act as a vital liaison between our clients and internal sales teams. This role combines the responsibilities of a Pre-Sales Specialist and a Relationship Manager, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all stages of the sales process.

 

Purpose of the Position:

The successful candidate will own the entire sales support cycle, transforming preliminary concepts into polished, professional proposals and managing the entire quotation and administrative lifecycle. This position is paramount to our success, directly enabling the external sales team to win new business by ensuring all client-facing materials are compelling, accurate, and delivered efficiently and on time.

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Collaborate closely with the external sales team to design, format, and tailor high-impact presentations and pitch decks. Translate complex solutions into visually compelling, client-specific narratives for high-stakes prospective meetings.
  • Prepare and finalize accurate commercial quotations, detailed cost estimates, and comprehensive proposals based on defined client requirements. Ensure strict adherence to established pricing guidelines, margin targets, and corporate compliance standards.
  • Actively assist in the preparation and submission of complex tender documents and formal Request for Proposal responses, meticulously ensuring all technical specifications, documentation, and submission deadlines are rigorously met.
  • Own the central repository of sales enablement materials. Proactively maintain, update, and govern the library of official sales templates, compelling case studies, and current product/service data sheets.
  • Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for an assigned portfolio of existing accounts, efficiently resolving inquiries via phone and email and escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition for new clients by meticulously managing the onboarding process, which includes completing all necessary contractual documentation and ensuring accurate system and CRM setup.
  • Proactively conduct regular client check-ins to monitor satisfaction levels, gather feedback, and identify organic opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling new products and services.
  • Accurately process, track, and manage all incoming sales orders from initial receipt through to final delivery and invoicing, resolving any logistical discrepancies.
  • Maintain the integrity and completeness of the Customer Relationship Management database (e.g., Salesforce). Ensure all client details, interaction logs, and sales pipeline stages are accurately recorded and updated in real-time.
  • Generate and analyze critical weekly and monthly sales reports, including detailed pipeline analysis, sales funnel metrics, and inventory/stock status updates for senior management review.
 

Skills and Experience that will lead to success:

  • Degree holder with at least 5 years' relevant experience in print and digital ad sales support, and account servicing experience. 
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, aggressive and confident, with proven track record of delivering projects
  • Able to work under pressure, strong in planning, well organized, and able to prioritize effectively
  • Works well as an individual and in a team
  • Proficient in PC applications
  • Strong written and spoken presentation skills
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese. Mandarin desirable
 

Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
