Purpose of the position:
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Product Manager/Lead Product Manager to lead the evolution of digital experiences across our new Young Post Club platforms. This is a high-impact role dedicated to exploring new product features and market opportunities for our student and educator-focused brands (Young Post, Posties, etc) from the ground up.
You will work with editorial and business teams to research and define how news-driven content can be transformed into engaging, educational experiences. As the product lead, you will operate at the intersection between content, data, design, and technology teams, to drive the development and launch of new initiatives on Young Post Club and ultimately grow reader market share and revenue.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the 0→1 product discovery, development and launch of new digital experiences for students and educators, moving from initial concept to minimum viable product (MVP) and beyond.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to conduct discovery (e.g. deep-dive sessions with students and teachers, design thinking workshops) to understand potential new markets and product opportunities. You will come up with testable hypotheses and work with teams to build and run those experiments.
- Overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle, including ideation, requirements definition (user stories, acceptance criteria), prioritization, build and UAT, and launch of new features and optimizations.
- Working closely with designers and engineers to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ship high-quality products efficiently.
- Proactively identify and integrate AI technologies (e.g., LLM-powered tutoring, automated quiz generation, or personalized learning paths) to create differentiated and scalable educational tools.
- Effectively communicate product opportunities, plans, updates, and results to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership.
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
- 5+ years in Product Management with demonstrable experience launching a new product or new major initiative. You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable building the playbook as you go.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex problems and requirements to diverse audiences (editors, engineers, designers, executives).
- A genuine passion for understanding and solving user problems, coupled with an appreciation for great user experience. Able to articulate tradeoffs between UX, technical performance, user impact, and project delivery and also make recommendations on the best path forward.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions with Engineering teams; understanding of web and app technology stacks, and modern software development processes (e.g., Agile/Scrum).
- Strong fluency with different types of data with proven ability to analyze feature performance, create hypotheses, and integrate user research into the discovery process.
- Passion and experience in utilizing AI technologies (machine learning, large language models) to build highly personalized products is a plus.
