Art Director, Morning Studio
About the Team:
Morning Studio is the commercial content unit of the South China Morning Post (SCMP). The team creates content for brands using the SCMP voice and distributes it on SCMP platforms. Our team consists of journalists, video producers, and creatives skillful at producing engaging content for readers.
Purpose of the Position:
We are looking for an Art Director with experience in traditional and digital mediums, with good art sense to produce eye-catching and creative works for client marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
In this role, you will:
- Art direction/ Layout/ UI/UX design and implementation for clients’ and in-house campaigns
- Provide web and digital ideas and executions of digital advertising and branded content
- Communicate and collaborate closely with marketing team and stakeholders to facilitate the creative process
- Provide assistance in any ad-hoc offline advertising and design project as assigned
- Cultivate an understanding of industry trends and able to provide innovative ideas
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
- Degree or Diploma holder in Communication Design/ Multimedia Design/ or related disciplines with minimum 4 years of design experience in the related field
- With a portfolio that shows strong design skills and good art sense for traditional, digital platforms, plus web and social
- Knowledge of HTML5/CSS, website development will be a definite advantage
- Solid skills in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite...etc
- Strong in web design software such as Figma, Celtra…etc
- Experience in EDM marketing such as EDM development
- Creative, energetic and independent with excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working with a network of creative freelancers
- Fluent in written and spoken of Cantonese and English
- Strong sense of responsibility, attention to details and a good team player
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate Art Director
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
