Senior Manager, Morning Studio
About the Team:
South China Morning Post (SCMP) is looking for a Senior Manager to join our commercial content team, Morning Studio. This position will largely focus on client servicing and project managing a portfolio of online and offline content projects from our clients and partners in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and around the world.
SCMP is dedicated to elevating the conversation around Asia and China. Morning Studio works with our advertisers and brands to help develop branded content for our platform.
Purpose of the Position:
- Build and sustain positive relationships with clients, ensuring they receive excellent service while supporting SCMP’s business and sales goals
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams on incoming online/offline B2B and B2C projects from Hong Kong, Mainland Chinese, and international clients
- Evaluate project plans, manage schedules and project deliverables, track feedback, and create performance reports for online and offline marketing solutions
- Act as the client servicing/project management point-of-contact and communicate with internal and external partners to align on timelines and deliverables, setting expectations and clarifying uncertainty
- Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to track feedback and schedules to ensure all members of a project team are informed of all relevant information necessary to fulfill their role
- Identify and resolve issues with vendors, project managers, content, and operations teams with special attention to uncertainty on next steps, incomplete deliverables/project specs, timeline questions, and communication of project status
- Assist in developing strategies for integrated marketing solutions and help to retain and upsell existing clients
- Manage project budgets and work closely with production vendors and freelancers
- Report to the Associate Director of SCMP’s Morning Studio team
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
- University degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related disciplines
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a creative agency, media publisher, or in-house marketing team
- Experience with project management and/or operations, managing workloads of multidisciplinary creative and production teams, and internal/external partners
- Understanding of design and production workflows across online/offline solutions, including digital, video, graphics, social, print, custom publishing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functionally with all levels of management in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
The main working location will be at the Hong Kong office.
